Prevent Blindness America Announces the Opening of Little Rock Office

Jeff Todd, Vice President of Prevent Blindness America’s Program and Public Health Initiatives, announced that a Kick-Off Press Conference will be held at the Arkansas State Capitol on Tuesday, October 3, 2006.    National, state and local dignitaries as well as Prevent Blindness America staff will gather in the rotunda at 10:30 a.m. to make a major announcement about the new division office in Little Rock.

With a mission to prevent blindness and preserve sight of all Americans, Prevent Blindness America (PBA) represents all Americans at risk of vision loss from eye disease or injury.   Blindness and vision impairment represent a significant human and economic toll on individuals and society.

Prevent Blindness America’s affiliates and divisions screen millions of children and adults each year for potentially sight-threatening vision problems.  Prevent Blindness America’s partners in prevention support research into the treatment and cure of eye disease.

“We are excited that our new division in Arkansas will allow us to expand our mission and touch more lives” stated Todd.  “We touch lives through a commitment to a continuum of vision care for everyone.   With your help, imagine what we can accomplish in Arkansas!”
